The people behind Distinction Bespoke Tailoring have an established history within the tailoring industry and is the vision of Michael Morris and his partner Joanne Butterworth.

Michael is a highly experienced tailor who has been working within the trade for many years. His passion for creating high quality garments comes from his farther Robert Morris, who is considered to be a ‘master tailor’ and undoubtedly one of the best in the field.

He has over 40 years experience within the industry and has a love for needlework, luxury fabrics and producing the highest standard of Bespoke Tailoring that can be created by hand. Robert Morris’s skills have taken him all over the world and he has run two highly successful establishments in Chester City Centre for over 30 years.

Michael has worked alongside his farther in the busy workrooms for almost 10 years and has acquired a wealth of understanding of the trade and developed a deep rooted passion for the art of bespoke tailoring and its time honored techniques. He firmly believes in keeping the traditions going and that tailoring should remain where it belongs (in the workroom and not on a factory production line!)

Its Party Time!

Christmas and New Years Eve will soon be upon us, which usually means that the party season is now in full swing and its not just the ladies that say that old age question (what on earth am I going to wear?!?).

Whether you’re invited to a Christmas Works party or a festive charity ball. or even if you just want to celebrate Christmas and New Year with your nearest and dearest, you should always make sure that the clothes you decide to wear fit you properly and are suitable for the occasion.

There is always an awful lot of focus at this time of year to look your best and to dress well, especially as the invites are pouring in to attend formal black tie events.

The best way to make an impact this winter is to add a bit of sparkle to your wardrobe. Now I am not talking full on sequins and glitter here! Just a subtle hint of gold or silver shimmer along with the classic black dinner suit.

Here are 3 different ways to achieve this key look for everyone, no matter what your budget and how pushed for time you are.

If you want the ultimate in style and sophistication, having a bespoke dinner suit made for you is by far the best way to go, and to be in keeping with the party season Harrison’s of Edinburgh have a range of cloths with a 24 Carat Gold or a Pure Platinum Pinstripe which will defiantly make an impact.
