Chas. Hardern Boats

Chas Hardern Boats has been based at Beeston Castle Wharf for over 30yrs.
We are a small family firm offering 2-6 berth narrowboats year round for week and short break holidays on the Shropshire Union, Llangollen and adjoining canals.
All of our boats are self steering and self catering.
Excellent instruction is given on the handling of your boat including turning and going through locks.
We are the closest hire boat base to Chester, either a 3hr cruise to Christleton on the outskirts and then a short bus ride from the city or 5hrs cruising taking you right into the city centre.
A holiday on a narrowboat takes you on a peaceful trip through the beautiful and varied British countryside - the enjoyment is in the plodding along gently and admiring the scenery and wildlife, stopping at canalside pubs and exploring towns and villages along the way.
There is always the opportunity to marvel at the achievements of those long ago canal engineers and navvies as they built their canals through impressive cuttings and flights of locks.
Of particular note is the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct on the Llangollen Canal now a world Heritage site and a week round trip cruise from Beeston.
Please email us for up to date information about boat availability and with any questions you may have & click here to visit our website for boat details and prices.
We can supply a printed brochure if required.
