Iconic photos from the 1960s will be on display in Chester for the first time in September in a photographic exhibition by internationally-acclaimed photographer Philip Townsend.

Gallery Manager Alex Sharp said "So if you fancy seeing a young rock band called the Rolling Stones set out on their first photo shoot, or Twiggy posing in a psychedelic two-piece or Cilla Black preparing for a stage entrance, then come down to The Watergate Street Gallery and join us in our celebration of the sixties."  

There will be 50 framed images on display in a range of sizes and collectors can purchase some of the collection.

Southport Air Show

This year's Southport Air Show coincides with the 90th anniversary of the RAF, and to celebrate there will be increased flying activity to include the RAF Role Demonstrations by top military aircraft, Tornado GR4, Tornado F3, Sentry aircraft and a Chinook which will lead into a simulated fire power demonstration on the beach.

Southport Air Show is recognised as the largest aviation show in the North West. This fantastic family event attracts up to 150,000 spectators over two days. The comprehensive flying programme includes the spectacular Red Arrows, military and civilian aircraft, Jets, helicopters, aerobatics and parachute displays.

This is a great day out for the family and an experience not to be missed!
