A romantic city getaway at Hotel Indigo Chester this Valentine’s Day

Sweet treats on arrival, dinner cooked by a MasterChef champion & breakfast in bed before exploring the historic city of Chester

Those looking for a romantic night away to treat their loved one need look no further, as Hotel Indigo Chester, situated in the heart of the historical city, has unveiled a bespoke romantic getaway package, making it the perfect Valentine’s Day gift to enjoy.

Luxurious from the start, guests can enjoy an overnight stay, with a chilled bottle of Prosecco, chocolates and handmade macaroons from the in-house restaurant Wood Chester in the room on arrival, before being treated to a complimentary breakfast in bed the following morning.

Guests will check in to one of Hotel Indigo’s elegantly designed King bedrooms and relax and unwind, or can head downstairs to Wood Chester to enjoy a taste of MasterChef champion Simon Wood’s unintimidating fine dining.

Diners can choose from the a la carte menu or one of Simon’s blind tasting menus which boast five, seven or ten courses of expertly designed seasonal dishes cooked by the chefs with the very best ingredients available to them on the day. The menus can also be accompanied by wine flights with a glass of wine chosen to complement each dish on the menu.

The romantic getaway package is available for £169 per room (Sunday – Friday) or £199 per room (Saturday), based on two people sharing a Standard King Room. To book call 01244 735 745.

The tasting menus at Wood Chester start at £49 and the wine flights are available from £29.

Hotel Indigo Chester combines the historic charm of the city, with a modern design motif full of local historical character. The boutique hotel brings together the local delights of Chester with vibrant colours and textures, giving the Hotel and Restaurant a comfortable, residential look and feel.

The new-build features 75-rooms, each designed around historic Chester with quirky nods to the city and its culture. With three room types which differ by floor, guests can expect an eclectic combination of fabrics, wood panelling and references to people and dress from the city’s past.

The restaurant also offers room service within the hotel with WOOD’s special picnics, each delivered to guests room in a wicker picnic basket. There is the option of a Ploughman’s with cheese & pickle, scotch egg, pork pie and scone, or the soup and sandwich with cheese, biscuits and chutney. Each is served with homemade rose lemonade.
