Ryley's On The Row

Ryley's On The Row is a family run cafe in the heart of the historic city of Chester and located on Chester's unique and historic "broken shin row".

Serving only the finest and freshest local produce that Chester has to offer this hidden gem offers award-winning local sausages, through to locally produced tea and coffee.  Start the day with a delicious breakfast and see if you can finish the famous Ryley's On The Row 'Belly Buster' and you'll definitely be set for a day of sightseeing Chester's many unique historical attractions or boutique shopping in the many independent Chester shops. A morning after the night before breakfast is just what you need on a Sunday and it's available all day too!

Watch the world go by from the outdoor seating on the rows while you enjoy a delicious panini or homemade soup for lunch or take a seat in the lovely courtyard to enjoy a slice of cake or an afternoon tea of homemade delights (24 hours notice is required for afternoon tea). Ryley's On The Row is most definitely dog friendly and resident dog Nigel is on hand to offer a welcoming tail wag.

In addition to the main dining area there is a cosy backroom with a period open fireplace, quarry stone floors and low beamed ceilings so Ryley's on the Row provides all of Chester's quaintness in one place. This historic building was once a cheese shop in the early 1800s and you can still enjoy locally produced Cheshire cheese on all of the cheese dishes on the menu.
