To commemorate the centenary of the ending of World War One, and raise money for the Poppy Appeal we’re inviting people to take part in a 5 mile walk around Chester. The walk will take in WW1 memorials and important sites and tell the story of the city during those turbulent times. It will be animated by real life ‘WW1 Soldiers’, and walkers will be kept busy with a quiz on the way round – everyone taking part gets a unique goody bag, t-shirt and medal as a souvenir.
It is suitable for young and old as there is a wheelchair & buggy friendly route – you can even bring the family dog who will get his own little poppy tag! It will be a grand day out for everyone and help to remind us all of the sacrifices made by Cheshire people who did not return.
Prices: £10 adults; £5 children (children under 5 & dogs: free)
