Pickles

Pickles is a specialist wine merchants and wine bar located just a short stroll over the Old Dee Bridge in Handbridge, Chester and is a true delight for lovers of beer and wine.

Formerly Chester Beer & Wine, Pickles has the same great drinks, same friendly faces, but with a bit more fizz and is still your go-to for brilliant beer, wine, and local finds… just with a fresh new feel.

The relaxing and cosy wine bar, offers a brand new experience in Handbridge and the team can't wait to welcome you to the new bar.

All of the several hundred wines & spirits are personally selected by owner Sam Jackson and the range of 400 beers is lovingly chosen by resident beer guru Dave Calver, always ensuring the best quality and value.

The bar is open from 11 am - 7 pm Tuesday to Wednesday, 11 am - 11 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 12 - 9 pm on Sunday.

The upstairs bar is also a venue for lots of exciting tasting events, and you can even hire the venue for your own private party or event.

The tasting evenings are aimed at all levels of wine knowledge, so whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced quaffer these evenings are fully inclusive and include a sharing cheese platter.
