Celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee with a variety of activities in Chester over the jubilee bank holiday from 2- 4 June, including cathedral services, a city centre sing-along, the official lighting of the Beacon and a military parade.
Thursday 2 June – 2 pm - HM Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire’s Services of Thanksgiving - Chester Cathedral
The Cathedral service is by invitation only but you can watch the service via a live stream via the Chester Cathedral website.
Thursday 2 June - 3.30 pm - Jubilee Parade - Chester City Centre
Thursday 2 June - 9.15 pm – 10 pm - City of Chester’s Jubilee Beacon Ceremony - Chester Town Hall Square
Join in from 9.15 pm in Town Hall Square as Chester joins the national beacon lighting to mark the Jubilee. Chester’s beacon will be lit at 9.45 pm.
Friday 3 June - 11 am - 5 pm - Civic Regalia Talks and Tours of the Town Hall - Chester Town Hall

To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Cheshire West and Chester Council and the City of Chester Charter Trustees are offering a number of Regalia Talks and Tours of Chester Town Hall. As well as delving into the history of the Town Hall and the ceremonial side of the City of Chester, the tours will also explore Chester's civic connections with Her Majesty the Queen and other members of the Royal Family.
Tours include entrance to the Lord Mayor’s exhibition Her Majesty's connections with Chester. Regalia Talks and tours of the Town Hall will last around 1hour and 15 minutes and donations to the Lord Mayor of Chester’s charities are welcome
