Join Storyhouse for three days of events in partnership with Chester Pride to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and putting them centre stage.
Storyhouse Queer weekend will be a space to come together, to feel safe, to celebrate each other, to feel joy. Storyhouse is and always will be a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community to be celebrated and supported.
A brand new festival celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community in Chester, putting queer talent and culture centre stage - including performance, music and workshops for all ages and identities.
Events include:
Stars of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK, Ginny Lemon & Sister Sister join Storyhouse on Friday as headliners to bring you the most disappointing drag show you’ve ever seen.
SK Shlomo brings his incredible show BREATHE to the Garret Theatre on Saturday, a rollercoaster love-letter to the lifesaving power of beats, bass and breathing.
Bring your glamour, glitz and grace to the Family Catwalk Extravaganza and come together for a fabulous celebration of self-expression for all ages.
Learn to pose and catwalk like a supermodel along to some classic LGBTQIA+ anthems and with Ghetto Fabulous’ Dance Workshop, for children 6+ plus their accompanying (and willing) adults.
Chester Pride host Active Bystander and Be a Better Ally Workshops on Saturday and Sunday, sharing practical tips and knowledge to help us better support the community.
Proud Marys raise their voices on Saturday to celebrate the richness and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community across the North West.
Drop in on Saturday for the LGBTQIA+ Patch Workshop and create your very own embroidered patch to celebrate your identity and links to queer culture.
Catch a special screening in the cinema across the weekend, including Blue Jean, Joyland, and queer icon David Hoyle’s Hedda (after Ibsen).
