Now, the esteemed eatery has announced it is holding a special event called “Afternoon Tea with Ben Kane – From Vet to Best-Selling Author” this October.
The upcoming event is hosted by the Grosvenor Museum’s Richard Hall and features a delicious Afternoon Tea and a captivating talk and Q&A with celebrated historical fiction writer Ben Kane.
Guests can enjoy a perfectly presented selection of pastries, cakes and freshly prepared sandwiches, with a choice of expertly brewed coffee and fine teas, while surrounded by the 2 AA Rosette restaurant’s elegant décor.
A former veterinary surgeon, Ben Kane travelled the world and discovered his love of ancient military history. He became a full-time author and is respected for his painstakingly researched novels that conjure the sights and sounds of Ancient Rome. To date, his best-known titles include Spartacus, the Hannibal series and The Forgotten Legion trilogy. With more than a million copies sold and books translated into multiple languages, Kane’s works are celebrated for their dramatic depictions of battles and engaging storytelling.
The Afternoon Tea with Ben Kane – From Vet to Best-Selling Author event will be held at The Forge on Thursday, October 16 between 2 pm and 4 pm. The restaurant is based inside Hotel Indigo on Grosvenor Park Road in Chester. Places are limited, so those wishing to attend are advised to book soon to avoid disappointment.
