The National Waterways Museum sits at the once bustling transshipment dock at the intersection between the River Mersey, the Shropshire Union Canal and the Manchester Ship Canal and the Waterside Café is perfect to savour the peacefulness of being outdoors by the canal.
With so much to see and do at the National Waterways Museum, the Waterside Café is a great place for friends and families to take a break and enjoy relaxing with a drink and something to eat before setting off around the seven-acre site.
The Waterside café has introduced a new coffee loyalty card so after buying nine hot drinks you get the tenth one free!
Once a noisy, bustling hub the setting of the museum is now beautifully tranquil and thriving with the most magnificent wildlife.
You can just drop into the Waterside Café, but you need to purchase a ticket to visit the museum. Once you have purchased your ticket, this acts as an annual pass that allows you to visit as many times as you like for a year and just perfect for visiting the waterways themed playground which younger visitors (under 12s) enjoy immensely.
