Chester Arts Centre Presents Halloween Theatrics

Storyhouse in Chester, the city’s home of the arts, has some Halloween fun planned for theatre lovers this November.

Arriving a little after the spookiest day of the year, the production is entitled “The Grand Finale” and is described as a “Halloween Murder Mystery”.

The crime-solving show centres around the twisted tale of a world-famous illusionist whose performances were once legendary. However, those days on stage are in the past, along with the glamour and glitz that defined them.

Audiences attending can witness Theodore the Magnificent performing one final trick at a grand Halloween masquerade ball. The illusionist will grant his gathered guests a rare chance to have their hearts greatest desire. Although it will cost them, some invited to the ball will be willing to pay any price.

The all-new murder mystery production comes from the celebrated creators of the highly successful shows “Murder Under the Spotlight”, “The Body Snatchers” and ‘The City of Curses’, all of which enjoyed sold-out performances.

The Grand Finale will now be performed live on stage at Storyhouse’s Garrett Theatre on Sunday, November 2. The play gets started at 7.30 pm and is approximately two and half hours long, including an intermission. The theatre can be found inside the Chester arts hub on Hunter Street in the city centre, and the show is recommended for those aged 12 or older.

General admission to the event is priced at £26.50, while Storyhouse members can enjoy discounted tickets costing just £23.85.
