Pictura Studios in the centre of Chester is inviting residents and city visitors to escape their routine and get creative in September.
The local arts hub is hosting an evening fine art class for adults aimed at all skill levels, from experienced artists to absolute beginners. The class will cover new techniques and materials and offers a relaxed environment with a structured format to promote learning.
The class is part of a five-week course that provides participants with plenty of time and expert guidance to build their skillset and produce complete finished artworks. While there is plenty of space for creativity and self-expression, classes also include step-by-step instruction from friendly tutors.
A wide variety of themes and art forms are covered in the course, including drawing and painting botanicals, watercolour, acrylic techniques and textures, life drawing, still life, printmaking and mastering soft pastels.
To ensure all who take part enjoy personal levels of attention, the art classes are small with a limited number of spaces. Consequently, those wishing to get involved should sign up early to sidestep disappointment. Those attending the experience only need to bring their artistic sensibilities with them as all materials required for the class are provided by the studio.
The evening fine art class will take place on Wednesday, September 10 on the first floor of Pictura Studios. The art centre is located at 5 Eastgate Street in central Chester, and the class begins at 6.30 pm and ends at 8.30 pm.
