Moules a Go-Go, one of Chester’s popular bar and bistros, is renowned for serving an extensive seafood menu alongside steaks and pasta. However, this year it has created a Christmas menu for people partying over the festive season.
The new menu is available up until Christmas Eve, but is only accessible when people make pre-ordered party bookings with a maximum group size of 35.
There are two options to choose from, the “Christmas Lunch Menu”, served between 12pm and 4pm, and the “Christmas Evening Menu”, offered from 4pm to 9pm. Party organisers booking can choose between two- or three-course meals for guests, and the bistro’s kitchen team have worked hard to create options designed for a range of diets.
Starters featured on the menu include the fruits of the sea that made a name for Moules a Go-Go, like steamed mussels and smoked salmon. However, diners can also enjoy a winter leek and potato broth or mushrooms sauteed to perfection.
Seafood delights are also offered as mains, with pan-fried sea bass with baby new potatoes and winter veg leading the menu. Those preferring a more traditional table can order roast turkey with all the trimmings, stuffing and roast vegetables, or indulge in confit duck leg, garlic mash and red cabbage. Further options include rump steak in pepper sauce with skin-on French fries, and a butternut squash and halloumi filo pastry tart with kale pesto.
For dessert, there is Christmas pudding, Vegan chocolate tart and Black Forest waffles.
