The home of Southern-style American cooking in Chester, Hickory’s Smokehouse recently unveiled a brand-new menu for autumn and winter.
Fans of the restaurant near the River Dee won’t have to worry, as the Smokehouse is retaining its coveted classics and barbequed delights. However, new drinks and dining options have updated the menu, especially for the colder seasons.
For brunch, guests can still order favourites like homemade pancakes, muffins and the beloved HoneyBird Cinna-Bun, but those looking for a savoury and sweet treat can try the brand-new “Hot Honey Pork Burnt Ends Waffle”. Brunch fans will find coffee and autumnal Southern iced teas flowing, featuring flavours liked caramel and baked apple, as well as Hickory’s-style Bloody Marys.
Old favourite mains returning on the revised menu include “Bourbon Glazed Chicken Wings” and “South Louisiana Gumbo” but a new star has been added, “The Cattleman’s Choice” for meat lovers. The feast for two includes sirloin and rib steak, gravy glazed ribs, fries, coleslaw, macaroni cheese and more.
Autumn and winter desserts are plentiful and ideal for warming up Chester sightseers in the colder months. These include the “Jam Jar Cheesecake” served with churros coated with cinnamon sugar, and the “Cherry Pie Deep Dish Pancake”.
Finally, all new drinks will be served up devised by Alex Davies, Hickory’s head barman. These include the corn whiskey based “How Momma Made It” and the “Pitmaster Margarita” inspired by the smokehouse restaurant’s unique flavours.
The new menu is now ready to order from, and Hickory’s Smokehouse can be found on Souter’s Lane in Chester.
