Lovers of real ale in the northwest will cheer to hear that the Chester Craft Beer Expo is making a welcome return this year.

Once again, the two-day event will take place at the city’s respected arts hub, Storyhouse. Now in its third year, the 2026 edition of the expo will run in partnership with local watering hole, That Beer Place.

Those coming down to the celebrations will find the arts centre’s Garret Bar and Theatre full of features for craft beer fans. Event organisers have promised a line-up of some of the UK’s most beloved breweries plus a special guest brewer sourced from Europe. Labels available at the event will feature time-honoured tastes alongside beers that push beyond boundaries. Those fond of cider will also find a fine selection added to the drink mix for 2026.

A total of 10 producers will be present over the course of the event, sharing classic pours, limited edition releases, and all-new experimental flavours. Each ticketholder will be treated to special gifts to take home, including an exclusive canned brew and a commemorative glass to mark the moment.

Further features include special interactive sessions where beer enthusiasts can meet favoured makers and learn the tales behind their top tipple. There will also be an opportunity to get involved in a Speakers Corner Q&A session, and Storyhouse eatery the Kitchen will provide street food especially suited for beer bites.

The Chester Craft Beer Expo 2026 will be at Storyhouse on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14. The arts centre is sited on Hunter Street in central Chester.
