Chester Hotel Unveils Wintertime Plans

Celebrated for its Alice in Wonderland theme, Oddfellows is a much-loved hotel in the heart of Chester.

Following the festive season in its enchanting Georgian surrounds, the hotel has launched a series of winter treats in January to ward off the cold. These include hot cheese delights designed for two, a special tasting session, and an afternoon tea party.

Throughout January from Thursday to Saturday, those looking for a winter warmer can enjoy “Fondue for Two” between 5 pm and 8 pm. Boasting an authentic Alpine recipe, the Hotel will present diners with a bubbling bowl of hot melted golden cheese ready for dipping.

On Thursday, January 22, the hotel is holding a Burns Night event boasting a whisky and local produce tasting. Running between 6.30 pm and 7 pm, the night will include traditional Highland dancing and treats sourced from across Cheshire. The celebration is led by Harry Elliott, the hotel’s head Chef, and features “The Cheshire Whisky” from the Weetwood Brewery & Distillery.

Finally, on the last day of the month, guests can attend the “Wonderland Finale”. The bottomless afternoon tea will kick off at 3 pm and offers two options. Guests can book afternoon tea for £30 or £60 to enjoy an upgrade featuring bottomless drinks. The afternoon event is presented by DJ John Locke, who will be playing the biggest party tunes. Drinks available include beer, wine, prosecco, mocktails, cocktails and Aperol Spritz.

Oddfellows Hotel is easy to find located at 20 Lower Bridge Street in Chester.
