Experience Details
Chester Kayak Hire (part of Direct Kayaks Ltd) offers you the opportunity to hire their great quality paddleboards to enjoy a beautiful self-guided evening paddleboarding (SUP) experience along the River Dee at Eccleston.
You can hire paddleboards (and buoyancy aids) for a 1 hour SUP evening paddle session from Eccleston Ferry start point along the River Dee.
- This 1 hour hire is self guided - the Chester Kayak Hire team will not come out on the water with you so you must be confident in your ability to handle the paddleboard on the river without assistance
- The start point and end point is Eccleston Ferry, Chester – CH4 9JE and you can explore the river either up stream or down stream as you wish
- Parking is free but can be quite busy at times
- You will need to arrive at least 30 minutes before your allotted start time to make sure you have all the correct equipment
- Under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult

- It is recommended to wear comfy clothing and bringing spare clothes just in case
- Wetsuits are not provided but can be worn if you choose to
*This is not a lesson and no instruction will be given, this session is purely equipment hire for you to try this magnificent pass time and beautiful new way to enjoy the river.
If you are new to paddleboarding and would like to have tuition to gain more confidence before you go out on your own Chester Kayak Hire do provide Paddleboarding Lessons at Hope Lake.

- Chester's idyllic River Dee at Sandy Lane, CH3 5UL (free parking for up to 4 hours) or Farndon (free parking)
- Flintshire's picturesque Hope Lake at Park in The Past, Fagl Lane, Hope, Wrexham LL12 9RB (free parking with kayak, canoe, paddleboard or pedalo hire)
Please note that as all vessels are hired for self-guided tours the responsibility for your safety out on the water is in your hands - please discuss your level of experience and ability with the Chester Kayak Hire team to ensure you book the right hire for you to have a fantastic but most importantly, safe time on the water.

Dog Friendly
Paddleboarding is a popular trend that a lot of pooches can't get enough of and you are more than welcome to take your dog out on the water in any of Chester Kayak Hire's SUP boards but please be aware that you need to take full responsibility for their safety.
