A series of events will take place around Chester Cathedral attended by The Lord Mayor of Chester and Chairman of Cheshire West and Chester Council and other local dignitaries.
6am: A lone piper will play 'When the Battle's O'er' at the war memorial. The Dean of Chester will read out a special affirmation followed by prayers. Members of the public may attend - arrive at Cathedral Gardens by 5.45am.
10am - 11am: Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving of Remembrance to mark the centenary of the First World War
After the service a military parade will take place around Chester
A 20 minute concert led by Matt Baker and the Theatre in the Quarter Remembrance Chorus will take place in Town Hall Square with songs from the era
