Soldiers and Citizens - Chester Castle Through the Ages at Chester Castle

Chester Castle has a lot of stories to tell, so come and discover some fun history at this family friendly event with English Heritage on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May.

English Heritage will be telling the stories of Chester Castle through the ages, from Saxon, Medieval, Civil War and Georgian to the present day. There will be demonstrations and reenactments as volunteers bring the Castle to life. The English Heritage Conservation in Action van will also be onsite providing hands-on activities for all ages, giving an insight into how the castle is looked after today.

Don't forget to visit the Agricola Tower to see the fascinating wall paintings and find your next read in the secondhand bookshop located in the cells.

All welcome including dogs on leads.
