We’re back with another helping! Wednesday April 26th at 7pm, The Live Rooms!
The Upside Down Cabaret offers you a show where things are never quite as they seem, and performers from many weird and wonderful walks of life find their moment to shine. From outrageously funny drag performances to dancing divas, comedy, burlesque, live singing, cross-cultural and multimedia performances, there’s something different every time you walk through these doors…
This LGBTQIA+-led event promotes queer artistry of all kinds, with performers from neurodivergent, disabled and marginalised backgrounds as well as showcasing the best in new and alternative drag, pop culture and nerdlesque, parody and satire, modern Bollywood and beyond. Hosted by local drag king Mr Brake Down, the show promises thrills, laughter and quality entertainment in an inclusive joyous space. Come turn your world Upside Down for the night!
Alongside comedy, lip-sync and a few saucy surprises from your resident host Mr Brake Down, April’s cabaret promises a variety of show-stopping numbers and big laughs. We’re bringing a double bill of burlesque goodies this time, starting with The BiBelle: the blasphemous bisexual beauty your parents warned you about, she’s equal parts goddess, attention seeker, and permanent gay panic. Next up is Neon Flare, a decade daydreaming, neurodeviant dancer and emerging UK performance artist. Inspired by Kate Bush's theatrical sensuality and Joan Davis's goofy vivacity, she brings her own brand of nonsensical seduction and sexy slapstick to any party. Prepare to be gobsmacked by our diverse drag offerings this month from Ibi Profane: a gender fluid, comedic, singing performer whose high energy shows brings audiences to life, and our alt-king Raphael Hoe. An indie sensational with bags of charisma, this king knows how to goth up and rock out to make your emo dreams come true. A night of bawdy banter, bromance and buxom burlesque awaits you, so grab your tickets without delay!
