Vin Santo is a wine shop and bar serving small plates located in a beautiful 13th century crypt in the heart of Chester that has furnished Cestrians with fine wines for over 300 years.

You can also enjoy Vin Santo's delectable menu of wines sitting in their wonderful outdoor seating area on the historic cobbles of Watergate Street. Booking for outdoor seating is not required but is advised and you can book ahead.

Vin Santo's shop and bar offers an eclectic array of wines by the glass that the staff guarantee have all been “researched” thoroughly! They love nothing more than chatting wine, so tell them what you like, and they’ll be sure find you the perfect tipple. If it’s a glass of bubbles you’re after there’s a fantastic list of champagne and fizz, not to mention the countless quality gins behind the bar.

Matching food with wine is another passion of their talented team. The small plates menu reflects this, using award-winning produce and the best local suppliers to expertly complement the wine list. Food is available from midday Thursday to Sunday and includes their favourite cheeses selected from Chester’s famous The Cheese Shop.
