The Visual Art Open (VAO) Finalist Exhibition celebrates new and emerging artists within the contemporary art world, recognising both amateur and professional artists from the UK and around the globe including Europe, Middle East and South Africa.
Visitors can enjoy talent and artistic excellence from a broad variety of mediums and styles, including Drawing, Printing, Painting, Photography, Digital Art and Sculpture. Thirty finalists have been carefully selected from thousands of applicants by a panel of independent and high-profile art judges. The primary goal of the awards is to inspire, discover and reveal unknown artists who are yet to establish their profile, giving them an ultimate platform to share their passion and develop their career within the art sector. The event is free to attend and open to the general public at Chester Cathedral from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th October 2018. Opening times for the event: 26th & 27th 10.30am – 4pm and 28th 11am – 4pm.
