Chester Cathedral will present a concert this February featuring a famous musical theatre boy band.

February will find the much-loved landmark opening up its grade-listed interior to Collabro as part of a tour called “The Harmonies”. The upcoming odyssey will see the singing group appear in stunning cathedrals up and down the country, playing intimate concerts with a pianist accompanying them.

The performance in Chester will include a set-list that combines several numbers from much-loved musicals, tracks from their back catalogue and songs from “Be Still My Soul”, their choral album, that have never been performed for a live audience before now.

Collabro are revered for their soulful versions of show tunes and close harmonies. Since the departure of former member Richard Hadfield, the current members of the group are Thomas Redgrave, Matthew Pagan, Jamie Lambert and Michael Auger. Together, they have toured internationally, as well as recorded and released multiple studio albums.

The band rose to fame in 2014 after being crowned winners on the hit TV show Britain’s Go Talent. They impressed judges with their rendition of a song from Les Misérables called “Stars”.

Limited VIP admission is available for the Chester concert, priced at £99. Tickets entitle bearers to a seat in one of the four front centre rows, a meet-and-greet session, a professional photo taken with the group and a signed poster.

Collabro will now perform live on stage at Chester Cathedral on Friday, February 6. The cathedral is situated on St Werburgh Street in Chester.
