Renowned for drawing inspiration from the works of Lewis Carroll, Oddfellows Hotel in Chester is rolling out a brand-new dining series, dubbed “Wonderland Dinners”.
A celebration of sustainable eating, creativity and locally sourced produce, the new tasting experiences are specially engineered to delight visitors and residents in the city.
The series will feature a nine-course menu devised by Head Chef Harry Elliot, while showcasing some of Cheshire’s best seasonal ingredients and starting with a welcoming glass of fizz. Carefully selected, the sparkling wine is sourced from a sustainable vineyard based in Backford Bridge.
The cleverly curated tasting sessions are planned to coincide with special calendar events. The debut dinner is timed for Thanksgiving weekend, allowing the Oddfellows team to thank local suppliers and producers for their collaborative efforts. These include Orchard Range, the Christleton free-range egg and honey supplier, David Joinson the award-winning butcher and Hoole Food Market, to name but a few.
General Manager for Oddfellows, Izzy Marston, commented:
“One of our core values is to keep as much of our business within the local economy as possible. Supporting local suppliers is not only good for our community, but good for the environment too.”
Other upcoming dining events in the series are connected to festive occasions like Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, the summer Solstice and Halloween, among others.
The Wonderland Dinners will launch this year and continue throughout 2026. The first event will run from Thursday, November 27 to Saturday, November 29 and is priced at £75 per diner. Oddfellows is located at 20 Lower Bridge Street in Chester.
