The Bear & Billet is a pub and restaurant right inside Chester's city walls set in a black and white traditional half timbered building dating all the way back to 1664. Known for their incredibly friendly welcome, sourced, good food and a wide range of ales and spirits The Bear & Billet is a firm Chester favourite.

The pub boasts original fixtures and fittings and is spread out over 3 storeys with incredible views of the famous city walls. The Bear & Billet is a truly traditional English Inn in every sense, originally the townhouse of the Earl of Shrewsbury, this unique pub that has stood the test of time is also said to be the birthplace of the grandmother of Beatles' legend John Lennon.
