A world-famous conservationist, Chester Zoo is home to more than 37,000 animals. Now, the award-winning attraction has revealed its plans to accommodate nature lovers with the opportunity for opulent overnights stays.

The zoo recently revealed an artist’s impression of the new lodge accommodation that has been designed with an on safari look and feel elevated with a sense of luxury. Dubbed “The Reserve at Chester Zoo”, the highly anticipated offering will feature 51 lodges and is set to open this summer in August.

The brand-new wildlife experience is already open for booking with a range of packages on general sale since the end of January. More than simply a safari-style stay, package options include special features like out-of-hours zoo access, animal encounters, behind-the-scenes zoo experiences and interactions with expert conservationists.

CEO for Chester Zoo, Jamie Christon, commented on the new wildlife experience:

“It’s so much more than just a short break – it’ll provide guests with unforgettable experiences and bring them face-to-face with extraordinary animals, all while helping to protect the wild world and fund powerful conservation action.”

A range of different lodges will be offered to guests with the largest size able to accommodate nine people. Some have a lakeside setting while others overlook a secluded savannah habitat that is home to the zoo’s herd of Northern giraffes.

The luxe resort will also have a new welcome building, its own dedicated dining establishment called The Amboseli Restaurant and a lakeside terrace known as the Tsavo Lounge for outdoor eating and drinking.
