Bowie Tribute to Wow Chester

The Live Rooms in Chester is opening its doors to one of the UK’s finest tributes to music icon David Bowie this spring.

March will see the revered city venue play host to the Absolute Bowie Band, which features vocalist John O’Neill as “The Thin White Duke”.

The band has an exemplary history, winning both “Best Band” and “Best Bowie Tribute” at the Entertainment Agent’s Association (TEA) Awards. They have also earned praise from the press with the Mail on Sunday calling the group ‘unmissable’, while The Times named them Britain’s top tribute to the rock star.

With substantial experience, Absolute Bowie are now entering their 14th successful year on the road. The upcoming show in Chester will take audiences on a musical odyssey through Bowie’s unforgettable career and showcases his chameleonic costume changes. Described as lovingly crafted by NME, the live music experience is dedicated to authenticity and pays exceptional attention to detail.

Featuring a five-piece band of skilled musicians, the show lets Bowie fans enjoy a set list stacked with classic tracks. As a result, those booking tickets can enjoy renditions of hits sourced from albums like “Let’s Dance”, “Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders from Mars”, “Hunky Dory”, “Young Americans”, “Aladdin Sane” and the self-titled 1967 debut “David Bowie”.

The Absolute Bowie Band will now perform live in concert at The Live Rooms on Friday, March 27. The venue is based at 1 Station Road in central Chester, and the gig kicks off at 7.30 pm.
