Chester Hotel Rolls Out Father’s Day Fare

A hotel with history, the Queen at Chester has hosted many famous gentlemen, from author Charles Dickens to actor Cary Grant. Now, the Victorian landmark is inviting families to celebrate the important men in their own lives with a Father’s Day feast.

The respected accommodator is running a special Sunday lunch with additional extras to make sure families can create a day to remember with their father, or father figure. A warm welcome and a complementary drink on arrival begins the event, with a wide selection of tipples to pick from.

Traditional Sunday lunch follows, with starter choices including golden breaded brie served with sticky fig relish, toasted ciabatta topped with creamy garlic mushrooms or accompanying tomato and basil soup.

For mains, there is roast chicken breast with roasted vegetables, stuffing and pigs in blankets, roast loin of pork with cinnamon apple roasted vegetables or feather blade of beef with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and pancetta; all are served with thyme gravy. Main courses to suit vegetarians and other diets are available on request.

Indulgent desserts on the day include warm apple cinnamon crumble with custard, or chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. After lunch, dads will receive a special thank you gift.

The Father’s Day dining package costs £39.95 for adults and £19.95 for children, and Dads dine for free. A children’s menu is available if needed.

The dining event will take place between 3 pm and 5 pm on Sunday, June 21 at The Queen at Chester Hotel on City Road in Chester.
