While nationally known for having the largest parlour on the planet, the Ice Cream Farm in Chester is also a haven for family fun.
While the farm offers a wide range of play activities for guests of all ages, up until the end of March it is letting families work together as a team in a series of exciting escape rooms.
Working against the clock, mums, dads, brothers, sisters and their relations can crack clues and solve puzzles to save the day in different stories.
In “Funfair Frenzy” families find themselves in an amusement park that is about to close. A child has lost a favourite toy on one of the rides, but it has been locked away by the park’s unhelpful owner who refuses to hand it back. Family teammates playing have 10 minutes to navigate the fair, beat games and test their skills to recover the toy before the gates shut.
A swashbuckling adventure, “Pirate Plunder” sees players in the role of buccaneers trying to reclaim their lost treasure. Family members must infiltrate Captain Blackin’s galleon and recover the gold doubloons before it sinks. However, the pirate chief has set cunning conundrums to solve, so teams must think fast to escape with the booty.
The third and final option is “Prison Escape”. While a thrilling adventure, this escape room is designed for all members of the family as it contains no loud noises or frights. Players have only 10 minutes to follow clues, solve puzzles and outwit the wardens.
After escaping any of the rooms, families can reward themselves with a frozen treat with 50 flavours available in the parlour. The Ice Cream Farm is easy to find on Newton Lane in Tattenhall, Cheshire.
