Guests and residents of Chester can attend an event celebrating creativity at Chester Racecourse. This spring, the world-record holding racing venue is opening its gates to the “Fusion Art Fair”.
The immersive event will offer attendees an opportunity to explore more than 2000 original artworks created by over 70 different artists. The three-day festivities will also feature interactive sessions providing practical experience and live demonstrations to learn tips and techniques from skilled creatives.
A three-hour private viewing evening will launch the weekend fair and includes a complimentary glass of wine to toast the event. The following two days of activities and exhibitions will then be open to the public between 10 am and 5 pm. Art lovers in attendance will get an opportunity to peruse and purchase original artworks and see artists work while explaining their creative process.
Expert-led workshops will run that are suitable for all ages, and there will be a licensed café open for the duration of the fair selling a selection of light snacks, lunch options and hot and cold drinks.
A “Charity Mini Canvas Sale” is also planned, where the artistic community will create one-of-a-kind miniature paintings. The pieces will be available to buy at a minimum price of £50, and all proceeds are being directly given to a local charity that supports disadvantaged young people.
The Fusion Art Fair will run at Chester Racecourse from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26. The race venue can be found on New Crane Street in Chester. Free parking is offered to all who attend.
