Chester Racecourse Presents Friday Social Event

Praised for being the longest running racing venue in the world, Chester Racecourse attracts over 300,000 visitors each year.

Now, its event organisers have announced a special occasion happening at the New Crane Street course called “The White Oak UK Friday Social”. The summertime event is taking place on Friday, June 13, and promoters are promising it will be a day to remember.

On the Friday, Chester Racecourse will have an altered atmosphere that lends itself to racegoers easing into the weekend. The venerable course is inviting racing fans to come down to the event with their family, friends or work colleagues to enjoy a wide selection of drinks and dining, with live DJs playing summer classics to beckon in the well-deserved break.

While the racecourse will have a party-feel on Friday designed for all attending to socialise, it will still boast the same exciting track action that earned the venue its stellar reputation. The full racecard includes six races starting with the Class 4 “HRS Cladding Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Stakes” for four-year-olds at 2.15 pm and ending with the “Handy Cap Stakes” for three-year-olds at 5.10 pm, with prize money of £15,000.

Tickets for seating in The Roodee has already sold out, but seats are still available for The Tattersalls Enclosure with prices ranging from £32 to £39. A range of hospitality options will be bookable by racegoers attending, including The Final Furlong and the 1539 Restaurant, and the White Horse gastropub will also be open for relaxed drinks and dining.
