The Live Rooms in Chester is hosting a two-day musical extravaganza in honour of the legendary 70s UK rock band Wishbone Ash this autumn.
September will see the programme, which includes live performances and fanbase activities, run at the celebrated venue in Room L1.
The upcoming appearance at The Live Rooms is part of the band’s 2025 tour. Making music for more than 55 years, Wishbone Ash are renowned for their famous twin-guitar sound that inspires many acts that followed them. With such an extensive catalogue created over their lengthy career, the band struggle to play every song sought by their fans. As a result, the double date was planned for their visit to Chester featuring two different sets but still featuring beloved classics like “Blowin’ Free”, “Throw Down The Sword” and “The King Will Come”.
The first evening will boast the complete track list of the band’s best-seller “Argus” and an acoustic set, while the second day branded “Ashcon”, has a matinee performance followed by a question-and-answer session. All four members of the band will be present on stage for an interactive experience. Wishbone Ash will be accompanied by a tribute act, and there will be a wide range of official merchandise to purchase, plus guest speakers talking about the band.
Wishbone Ash and Ashcon will now be at The Live Rooms in Chester from Friday, September 19 to Saturday, September 20. The live music venue is simple to spot on Station Road in Chester.
