Chester tour expert Dee River Kayaking recently refreshed its profile with a brand-new name. The successful company that operates from Sandy Lane is now registered as Paddle the Dee and its owner, Jamie Greenhalgh, explained the reason for the change:
“The new name represents our hope to be attractive to all paddle sports enthusiasts—whether they are trying stand up paddleboarding for the first time, considering taking up white water kayaking, or heading out for the hen do of the century.”
While the firm launched as a tour business using just kayaks, for many years this has no longer been so. In its second year, and ever since, it has provided Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) as a service. Paddle the Dee has a passion for SUP and coaching new paddlers to gain the skill and confidence required to fully appreciate the equipment’s capability for adventurous excursions.
With the rebrand, the company makes it clear that it supports all types of paddlers, but the new name isn’t the only update. The company has also revised its tuition packages and guided tours of the Dee to better represent what it offers residents and visitors to Chester.
Paddle the Dee aims to ensure its expert-led tours are as engaging and accessible as possible for all to enjoy. Options now exist tailored for private groups, families and out of towners touring Chester as well as Llangollen.
Experiences and trip options are now offered to match different levels of paddling abilities, from novice to professional and for different tastes like a tranquil paddle or an adrenaline-fuelled encounter.
