Tribute Bands to Storm Chester in Summer

The Live Rooms in Chester has announced it is welcoming two successful tribute acts to its stage this summer.

July will allow city guests and locals alike visiting the venue to sing along and dance to classic pop music written by ABBA, and rock out to the guitar-fuelled anthems of AC/DC.

On Saturday, July 5, the Live Rooms will ring out with “Hells Bells” as Dirty DC perform a live set in Room L1. The multi-talented band has earned a reputation as a leading tribute to the group many refer to as Australia’s finest rock export. Metalheads coming down to the show can expect to enjoy two hours of tracks which may include hits like “Back in Black” and “Highway to Hell”, and online tickets are just £18.

Fans of 70s pop are in luck a week later when Bootleg ABBA arrive on Saturday, July 12. Performing together since 1998, the four-piece group authentically capture the spirit, music and costumes of Sweden’s Eurovision all-stars. They have toured with The Gipsy Kings and Leo Sayer, and performed live at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Singapore alongside Missy Elliot and pop diva Mariah Carey. Admission for the evening is £19.50 per person in advance or £23 on the door.

The Live Rooms is located at 1 Station Road in Chester, and is renowned as the city’s biggest independent night club and live music venue. Both shows have an age restriction and are suitable for those aged 14 and over.
