The Grosvenor Museum is one of Chester's hidden gems, housing collections of archaeology, fine and decorative arts, natural and social history covering the diverse culture and heritage of the City in the Grade 11 listed building.
Explore the rich history and heritage of Chester as you make your way through the museum.
At the back of the museum you will find 20 Castle Street, which belongs to the Museum and was built around 1680. It has been part of the Grosvenor Museum since 1955 and is now home to nine period rooms spanning from 1680 to 1925 for you to explore.
The museum is FREE to enter, however, a suggested donation of £3 is encouraged and last entry is 45 minutes before closing time.
Exhibitions and events are held regularly throughout the year - keep an eye on our What's On calendar of events for updates.
