Kings Head is a pub and restaurant located on Lower Bridge Street, Chester in a historic black and white timbered building constructed in 1622 but with foundations dating back to the early 1200s, where you are asssured of a very warm welcome.
This city centre inn has many stories to tell, boasting Elizabethan fireplaces and it even has timber recovered from one of Admiral Lord Nelson's sunken ships. During a refurbishment in the 1930s there was a sword discovered hidden under the floorboards of a bedroom and this can now be seen hanging proudly on the wall of the bar.
There is far more to the Kings Head than just history, with homemade locally sourced food and a fine selection of quality beers, wines and spirits on offer.
