Xplore! Science Discovery Centre

Xplore! Science Discovery Centre is located less than 30 minutes from Chester and does a magnificent job at bringing Science to life for kids of all ages!

Enjoy a great day out learning through play at this fascinating centre for all things science and learn how incredibly fun and spectacular science really can be.

• Open to visitors every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 until 16:30 during term time and then all week-long during school holidays, with live shows throughout the day.
• School bookings are available during the week.
• Fully accessible for all visitors, Xplore is built over one floor and they have made sure that all exhibits are accessible from wheelchairs so everyone can maximise all they have to offer.

You’ll find Xplore! full to the brim with science, exploration, and fun. They've been bringing brain-teasing, mind-bending, eye-opening science to Wrexham for almost 20 years and now have a stunning new centre to showcase all the wonders of science.

You'll love getting immersed in the whopping 85 interactive activities in the exhibit space and their purpose-built science shop sells a wide range of science experiments, toys, and gifts covering the worlds of Biology, Physics, Astronomy, Construction, Robotics, Dinosaurs, Computer science and Chemistry that are perfect for all ages and interests.

All the fun of science can make you hungry so there is a great cafe onsite with a range of hot and cold drinks as well as snacks for all taste buds and dietary needs.

The Xplore! cafe and gift shop are open to members of the public every day from 9:30-16:30. You do not need to purchase a ticket to enjoy these facilities.

Team Building

Bring your team together for a unique team-building experience to develop skills including communication, creativity, and lateral thinking with a choice between 5 specially created team building activities.

• Mix and match activities and free time to suit your day
• Interact with problem-solving exhibits and activities
• Refreshments and catering available from the on-site café

Escape the stress of organising Parties by letting Xplore! create (and clean up) slime-filled, space traveling, dinosaur discovering, science themed fun - All parties at Xplore include:

• Entry to the centre
• A make and take activity be that Slime, Space or Dinosaur
• A dedicated host for your party
• Annual Membership for the birthday child
• A drinks bottle for the birthday child
• A party bag for each child

As well as the above you can choose to purchase professionally printed and designed bilingual invitations for a nominal fee. The invitations are available for download and printing yourself for free.

£10 per child without food and £13.50 with party food catering for between 10 and 20 children.
