Chester Childrens Attraction Promises Summer Fun

Around half an hour from Chester, BeWILDerwood is an adventure playground for kids based on the stories of author Tom Blofeld. The beloved attraction is currently amid its major summer schedule which features an exciting timetable of events and the return of some of the site’s most mysterious characters, “The Grubbles”.

Each year the summer event runs from the first of July to early September, and is the only time of year the Grubbles are present within the park.

The first event on the itinerary is the Storytelling Stage Kids can enjoy hearing a reading of “A Boggle at BeWILDerwood” which tells the tale of Swampy’s biggest adventure which is also the story which the fantastical attraction is based on at either 12 pm or 2 pm. The story of “BeWILDermuddle” can also be experienced on the stage at 1 pm or 3 pm. The park’s Teller of Tales embarks on a race against the clock to save the Crocklebog, Mildred. Kids will note that something has happened to Mildred who doesn’t seem to look or act like herself.

There will also be a face painting and craft session between 11 am and 4 pm, where little ones can get decorated to look like characters from the BeWILDerwood world or craft a Crocklebog Crown to look just like Mildred.

Alongside these activities, there will also be a puzzle-solving park trail called “Muddled Melodies” where kids can track down musical notes to form the Grubbles’ favourite song.

BeWILDerwood Cheshire’s summer schedule will run until September 5; the park can be found at Bickley Moss, Cheshire.
