Rising country star Cody Pennington is playing back-to-back shows in Chester later this month. July 25th and 26th will see the Nashville singer-guitarist perform at popular music venue, The Live Rooms, just a minute’s walk away from Chester Train Station.
While born and raised in Tennessee’s home of country music, Pennington lives in the UK and has become a stand-out act in its country music scene. After studying record business management, he left Nashville in 2011 and joined the US Air Force. His international travels as a medical technician for Uncle Sam took him all over the world, including his new home-from-home the UK.
Pennington’s time in service has inspired his song writing, but even when he was enlisted, he took every chance he could to perform during his leave. After leaving the Air Force, he chased a full-time career in music and is now realising his dream. He has performed at major UK venues like Southampton’s Central Hall and London’s venerable 100 Club, and played festival mainstages alongside music legends like Shery Crow.
Last year saw the Nashville songsmith release his debut EP entitled “Downtown”, which he followed with another called “Cowboy Enough”. Chester country fans attending the upcoming shows will get a chance to enjoy live renditions of his hit singles like “How Bout Kentucky” among many others.
Cody Pennington will now be live in concert at the Live Rooms on Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26. The venue can be found situated at 1 Station Road in Chester, and the shows will start at 7 pm.
