The commitment, achievements and aptitude of upcoming artists and designers in the city are now being honoured with a show to mark the end of the year presented by the University of Chester.
Titled “Piece by Piece”, the event is U of C’s “School for the Creative Industries, Art, Design and Innovation Undergraduate Degree Show 2025”. The event is running throughout the month of June at multipole locations. These include the Chester Visual Arts Gallery, the Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces and Contemporary Art Space Chester (CASC).
Art and design admirers can appreciate the show which provides a representation of work from undergraduates in multiple disciplines. These include Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Fine Art, Interior Design, Product Design and Photography.
Head of the Division for Art, Design and Innovation at U of C, Dr Sarah Heaton, commented:
“We are very proud of these, our soon-to-be-graduates, and we wish them all the greatest success as they embark on their careers, their next stage of study and their creative futures.”
She added that it was an inspiration to encounter the ambition and work of a new generation of the designers and artists exhibiting in “Piece by Piece”.
The degree show is now open to members of the public Friday, June 13 to Saturday, June 28 between 10 am and 4 pm on selected days of the week. CASC is located at Chester University while the Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces and Chester Visual Arts Gallery are based within the Grosvenor Shopping Centre.
