Chester Welcomes Scottish Rock for Valentine’s Day

Rock lovers around Chester looking for their ideal Valentine’s date night might want to look to popular local venue The Live Rooms.

Playing a single-night show on February 14, Scottish rockers Anchor Lane will be performing tracks from the highly anticipated second studio album, entitled “Call This A Reality”, due for release next Friday, January 27.

Bandmates Lawrence, Graeme and Conor recorded the new material with top producer Bruce Rintoul in Glasgow. Fans attending the Valentine’s Day gig will get a chance to hear songs from the sophomore release like the singles “I Don’t Have Another Soul to Pour”, “Choke” and “Stutter”, along with hits from their first album “Casino”.

Due to the international pandemic, the band was unable to promote its first album extensively, but put this downtime to good use, perfecting tracks for the new album instead. However, Casino has enjoyed a multitude of streams and entered the Official UK Rock Album Chart straight in at number one, while also breaking the main UK Albums Chart’s top 50.

The group has cited numerous influences including the Foo Fighters, Royal Blood, Biffy Clyro and Queens of the Stone Age. Known for a dynamic stage presence, Anchor Lane has appeared at numerous major festivals, including Stone Free, Isle of Wight and Download, and has supported multiple rock bands on tour with notable guest spots.

Anchor Lane will play at The Live Rooms located at 1 Station Road in Chester on Tuesday, February 14. Doors will open at 7:00 pm.
