Spring will find Alexander’s Live presenting an evening dedicated to dance music.
The independent Chester nightspot has booked hit Clubland favourite, Ultrabeat (Chris Henry) to perform an in-person set alongside its in-house DJs.
Dubbed “Decades of Dance & Alexander’s” the night will kick off at 8 pm and runs until late. Dance music devotees coming down to the event can expect to hear definitive club classics sourced from the 1990 to the 2000s outside in Alexander’s unique courtyard location.
With five smash hits in the Top 40 and a slew of floor fillers to his credit, Ultrabeat remains one of the most well-known faces of the era called “Clubland”. While Henry performs as Ultrabeat for solo shows like the upcoming night in Chester, Ultrabeat also plays as an electronic group.
After forming in 2002, Liverpool DJs Henry, Mike Di Scala and Ian Redman had a string of successful dance tracks which included “Pretty Green Eyes”, “Better Than Life”, “Elysium” and “DiscoLights” (with Colchester DJ, Darren Styles). A festival favourite in both the UK and Europe, they are known for their high-energy performances at events like Clubland Live and The Noughty 90s Festival.
Ultrabeat will now perform a live set at Alexander’s Live on Saturday, May 16. The venue is simple to find in Rufus Court in Chester, and tickets are now on sale priced between £15.30 to £19.70. Doors to the event will open at 7 pm, but those arriving earlier can enjoy the venue’s happy hour with 50% off drinks.
