Chester’s celebrated attraction the Ice Cream Farm recently shared its exciting plans for Easter. A treasure trove of frozen desserts in the northeast of England, the farm dishes up more than 50 flavours of authentic Cheshire ice cream every day of the week. Now, the world-class venue is pulling out all the stops this Easter, with a calendar of themed events designed for family fun.
On Saturdays and Sundays up until the end of March the Easter Grotto and Craft Den will be open, offering a chance to meet the Easter Bunny himself. Kids can get a photo taken with the head hopper, who will be handing out hot chocolate cones and then colour in an Easter mug to take home as a memento. A relaxed SEN session of this activity is also bookable on Sunday, March 24.
Storytime with the Easter Bunny will take place on Friday, March 22, featuring the bunny and his buddy sharing stories accompanied by a special snack box packed with sandwiches, raisins, crisps and chocolate.
Saturday March 23 and Friday, March 29 will see the farm’s Sticky Paws eatery decked out for Easter. Families can enjoy a bottomless brunch at a table with the Easter Bunny, with platters loaded with pancakes and maple syrup, fruit pots, mini pastries, potato puffs and mini banger sausages.
The Ice Cream Farm can be found at Drumlan Hall on Newton Lane, Tattenhall, Chester, and is open between 9.30 and 5 pm seven days a week.
