Subsequently, visitors can still purchase tickets for the climax of the 2018 season, with limited availability remaining for the final weekend across Thursday 20, Friday 21 and Saturday 22 December.

The Lanterns 2018 at Chester Zoo has been hailed as a success by critics and visitors alike, with 5-star reviews across newspapers and social media.

Visitors to the event this year have been invited to explore nine specially created ‘worlds’ filled with life-sized animal lanterns and costumed characters from hungry penguins to curious emus!

Proceeds from ticket sales help support zoo’s work as a conservation charity, fighting to prevent extinction around the world.

The Lanterns has been lovingly created by the zoo, in partnership with multi-award-winning outdoor arts producers Wild Rumpus.
