Elvis Concert Arriving in Chester

City sight and spiritual centre Chester Cathedral is soon presenting a concert dedicated to the “King of Rock and Roll”.

The upcoming show features leading Elvis Presley tribute artist JD King and will let audiences hear much-loved numbers amplified by the astonishing acoustics of the Grade-listed landmark.

Entitled Elvis by Candlelight, the evening event will see the interior of the cathedral illuminated by thousands of LED candles. JD King will have staunch support on stage, joined by a live backing band of accomplished musicians. Those buying tickets for the winter show can enjoy a wide array of Elvis songs sourced from throughout his successful career, including “Suspicious Minds”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “The Wonder of Your” and “Devil and Disguise”, among many others.

A premier performer, King ranks as the Harbour Lights Elvis Festival’s Grand Champion and is a member of the Hall of Fame for Elvis tribute artists. His years as an Elvis act have seen him perform at some of the most famous entertainment venues in the world including The Ritz, The O2, Wembley Stadium and the Las Vegas Strip. He has also played at Suns Studio, a famous recording venue for the King himself in Memphis, Tennessee. Along with being respected for his authentic shows, he is also regarded as an authority on Elvis’s musical career.

Elvis by Candlelight will now be live at Chester Cathedral on Saturday, November 1. The show will get started at 7.30 pm, and the cathedral is based on St. Werburgh Street in Chester.
