California rock act Robert Jon & The Wreck will soon perform live on stage in Chester.
The band has made a name for itself in the US performing East Coast southern rock, and has successfully introduced its sound to the West Coast.
Formed in Orange County in 2011, the ensemble features five California natives led by Robert Jon Burrison as frontman and guitarist. Burrison is ably backed by Jake Abernathie on keys, Andrew Espantman on drums, Henry Schneekluth on background vocals and lead guitar, and Warren Murrel playing bass. Within six months of getting together, the group launched a debut album and undertook a national tour.
Now, the American band will entertain Chester audience at The Live Rooms, the city’s biggest name for music. Long-time fans and those new to Robert Jon & The Wreck’s music can expect irresistible grooves, soaring lead guitar solos, warm vocal harmonies and lyrics loaded with classic Americana.
Room L1 of the Chester venue will ring out with tracks sourced from the band’s extensive back catalogue, which features albums like “Ride into the Light”, “Red Moon Rising”, “Take Me Higher”, “Last Light on the Highway” and “Shine a Light on Me Brother”, among many others.
Robert Jon & The Wreck will now take centre stage at The Live Rooms on Thursday, May 8. The show is set to start at 7 pm, and tickets are priced at £27.50 online and £31 on the door. The live music venue is situated at 1 Station Road in Chester, and the concert is suitable for those aged 14 or over.
