Known for its cutting-edge comedy nights and concerts, Alexander’s Live! is a legendary venue in Chester now running for over three decades.
This spring, the much-loved location has announced it is offering a veritable sonic buffet for fans of hard rock and heavy metal when it welcomes a show called “Xander’s Rocks”.
The touring tribute show will arrive at Alexander’s on the last Sunday in May, and has able acts dedicated to some of the best-loved bands in rock and metal. Travelling rock shows like this one can bring together fans of a variety of beloved musical acts, helping solidify their fandom and even introducing them to songs they have never before appreciated.
Metal heads coming down to the weekend concert in the city can enjoy sets from tributes to acts like Marc Bolan’s T-Rex (The Rex), glam rockers Slade (Slyde), Black Sabbath (Sabbotage), Metallica (Metallica Reloaded), Guns ‘n’ Roses (Not Guns ‘n’ Roses) and antipodean all-stars AC/DC (Thunderstruck, all mimicking their musical styles with skill.
Along with offering powerhouse music with big riffs, soaring solos and heavy drums and bass for moshing to, the upcoming event will also feature an outdoor bar serving a wide selection of drinks. Ticket holders who have worked up an appetite will also be able to order food prepared on the barbeque and wood-fired pizza oven in the outside area.
Xander’s Rocks will storm the stage of Alexander’s Live! on Sunday, May 25. The venue is sited in Rufus Court in Chester, and the event is ticketed with admission priced at £39.50 per person.
