Three Great Chester Venues for Hot Breakfast Month

Food fans from Chester know that along with being famous for Valentine’s Day, February is also National Hot Breakfast Month.

A celebration that frowns upon scoffing a simple bowl of cereal, the annual event encourages us to start the day with a hot dish on some of the coldest mornings of the year.

With February just around the corner, we’ve highlighted three of Chester’s mouth-watering options for a hot breakfast.

1. Pars Kahve – Watergate Street South

Traditional Turkish breakfasts are served here like scrambled eggs served with beef sausage, grilled haloumi, and served with a spicy pepper and tomato sauce. Hot Simit bagels are also available, toasted and topped with sesame seeds and stuffed with a diverse range of fillings like feta cheese, pesto, and pastrami with a piquant sauce.

2. The Old Dukes – Bell Tower Walk

While this sports bar offers full English breakfasts for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, many come for its options inspired by America. Waffles are served with a choice of bacon or fried chicken, but both come slathered in maple syrup. However, hearty eaters can opt for the classic steak and eggs, or a cowboy breakfast of beef chill and a fried egg on thick-cut toast.

3. The Botanist – St Werburgh Street

Those seeking an artisan breakfast cooked to perfection will love the Botanist for a bite. Try a perfectly curated plate of eggs benedict, garnished and served on a toasted English muffin with smoked trout or flaked ham hock.
