Age Ranges on Calm Water

• Young children aged 4-8 yrs are welcome to join a trip sharing a boat with an adult on the Chester Town River Tour, which takes place on beautiful calm water.
• Ages 9+ yrs, children are welcome to navigate their own boat.

Age Ranges on White Water

• Ages 12+ yrs are welcome to join any of the whitewater tours such as the Chester Whitewater Session or Llangollen Wild Whitewater Tour, with their parent. They will control their own boat and love crashing through rapids with the support of our experienced tour leaders.
• In some cases, children aged 9-12 may join a white water tour in a tandem boat, but this may require additional staffing, and therefore an additional fee to cover this (If this is of interest please enquire via the 'Get in Touch' form on this page prior to booking)

Kids Parties: 

• Dee River Kayaking parties on the river are a very popular way to celebrate family birthday parties taking groups from the age of 9+ out on the river Dee, near Sandy Lane Park for big fun splash about sessions!

All of Dee River Kayaking's tours are accompanied by an experienced guide so you can be sure of a capable guiding hand to make sure you have the best day out on the river possible!

The kayaks are easy to use and very stable and the guides at Dee River Kayaking are real river specialists, with tons of passion, experience and enthusiasm to share.
